Not long ago there was a PRSSA meeting with the topic of "Interview Questions." I’m not sure what kinds of questions they threw out at the meeting but I remember the invite included something along the lines of "What kind of farm animal would you be…" I wondered if anyone still asked those questions or if they got thrown out with the rest of bad 80′s fashion. A quick note to some pr friends in the industry confirmed my suspicions. I was also reminded to throw out my acid washed jeans… some people are so cruel.
If I have time I will post some other PR related interview questions but in the mean time see what Edeleman is asking their new hires…
Greg, thanks for your comments and link.
Note to all my students – Greg Brooks is the owner of West Third Group http://greg-brooks.com. If it sounds familiar, I used his site and an example of using a blog for your web presence instead of a traditional website. As a side, I hear he is a pretty good guy and good at what he does.
Clearly there’s a lot of interest in the topic: I did
a short write-up of my (rather idiosyncratic) job-interview questions nearly a year ago, and it’s still one of the most-Googled pages on my site.

Hey Bill, you’ll likely find this funny, but I can’t resist sharing how cool it is to see the PROpenMic video player embedded in a blog. I believe, sir, that you are the first to do so! ;o) Thanks.
My boss and I watched this. We determined that we need to have some rss feeds aparently and we also decided some questions were VERY general and overused(ironically edelman is our pr firm). I like the what keeps you up at night one though…I bet some poeople get caught with their hand in the cookie jar on that one.
I don’t check for a few days and then you post 3 times! Geez!
